Eco-Friendly Single-Pass Land Clearing
FORESTRY MULCHING
Our primary specialty — industrial mulching equipment clears trees, brush, and vegetation in a single pass, processing organic material on-site to protect soil and eliminate hauling costs.
Forestry mulching is the most efficient and environmentally responsible method for clearing Texas land. Using our John Deere 335P with Fecon Blackhawk head and John Deere 333P with FAE BL4/SSL attachment, we grind trees, brush, invasive cedar, and understory vegetation directly into a protective mulch layer — all in a single pass.
Unlike traditional land clearing — which strips the land bare and requires expensive hauling — forestry mulching processes everything on-site. The resulting mulch layer suppresses weed regrowth, retains soil moisture, prevents erosion, and gradually breaks down to enrich your soil with organic matter.
For Central Texas properties dealing with cedar invasion, overgrown pastures, or brush-choked fence lines, forestry mulching is often the fastest, most cost-effective solution available. We work on properties of all sizes — from single-acre lots to large ranch tracts — and provide free on-site estimates before any work begins.

Why Choose This Service
KEY BENEFITS
Our machines clear and process vegetation in one pass — no separate cutting, piling, and hauling required. This dramatically reduces project time and cost.
Forestry mulching eliminates the need for burn permits and the associated fire risk. All material is processed on-site safely.
Zero Hauling Costs
Processed mulch stays on your property as a beneficial ground cover. No dump fees, no hauling trucks, no mess left behind.
Topsoil Protection
Unlike traditional clearing, mulching preserves your topsoil. The mulch layer acts as a protective blanket, preventing erosion from wind and rain.
Weed & Regrowth Suppression
The dense mulch layer blocks sunlight from reaching weed seeds, significantly reducing regrowth and the need for follow-up maintenance.
Soil Enrichment
As the mulch breaks down over time, it returns organic matter and nutrients to the soil — improving long-term soil health and native grass establishment.
Wildfire Risk Reduction
Removing dead and dry vegetation reduces the fuel load on your property, lowering wildfire risk — a critical concern for Central Texas landowners.
Works on Any Terrain
Our tracked machines handle slopes, rough terrain, and wet conditions that would stop wheeled equipment. We go where others can’t.
Forestry Mulching Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does forestry mulching cost per acre in Texas?
Pricing varies based on vegetation density, terrain, and access. Light vegetation typically runs $1,500–$2,500/acre; medium density $2,500–$3,500/acre; heavy brush or cedar can be $3,500+/acre. Our minimum job is $2,750. We provide free on-site estimates for accurate pricing.
How long does forestry mulching take?
In medium-density brush, our machines clear approximately 1 acre per day. Light vegetation can be 1.5+ acres/day. Dense cedar thickets may take longer. We’ll give you a specific project timeline during your free quote.
Will the brush grow back after mulching?
The mulch layer significantly suppresses regrowth. Cedar specifically does not resprout from roots after mulching — making it one of the most permanent cedar control methods. Some other brush species may require periodic maintenance, which we can discuss during your estimate.
What size properties do you work on?
We work on properties of all sizes, from single-acre lots to large ranch tracts. Our minimum job is $2,750 (one machine/day). We prefer larger properties of 5+ acres where our equipment is most efficient, but we evaluate every project individually.
Do I need to be present during the work?
You don’t need to be on-site during the work, but we recommend a walkthrough before we start to confirm the scope and boundaries. We’ll communicate with you throughout the project and do a final walkthrough when complete.
Is forestry mulching safe for wildlife?
Our equipment operates at ground level and moves slowly enough that most wildlife can move away. We recommend checking for any ground-nesting birds or wildlife before scheduling, particularly during spring nesting season.
